Cushing described the life-alter­ing expe­ri­ence of hav­ing a close fam­i­ly mem­ber mur­dered and his jour­ney from being a mur­der-fam­i­ly sur­vivor to spear­head­ing New Hampshire’s repeal of the death penalty.
